Joe Mama's Car Show is a 2-day, community focused car show that takes place in Jerome, ID, the 3rd weekend in August. Proceeds from the event are donated back to various charities and entities within Jerome and the surrounding area yearly after every show. While the Saturday car show is the main attraction, Joe Mama's also features several other events over Friday and Saturday.

After the 2025 show Joe Mama's donated back over $9000 to local communities including -

Martha and Mary's food pantry

Shop with a cop

Jerome Fire Department coat program

Jerome Rec District Easter Egg Hunt/Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Jerome Rec Kids Camp

Rotary Club Holiday Gift baskets

Several other smaller local charities

History

Joe Skaug started Joe Mama's in 1998 as a small parking lot show and grew the show year after year for several years. The City of Jerome and a dedicated team of committee members now keep it going, honoring Joe with a Founder's Choice trophy given to a car of his family's choosing. Awards are also given out for another 30+ categories featuring a "Parade of Winners" to accept their award. While the Saturday car show is the main attraction, Joe Mama's also features several other events over Friday and Saturday, check the schedule for the latest list of events and their times.

August 14 (Friday)

3PM – 5PM – Show ‘n’ Shine at Con Paulos Chevrolet

~ 5PM – Slow cruise to Founders Park

5PM – 11 PM – Beer Garden is open

6PM – Taco eating contest (register in person)

6:30PM – Engine burndown, place your bets on how

long a drained engine will run

Rugrat Racers Power Wheels Racing will be running

throughout the evening, register at their booth

Live music by Carson Hasher after the taco eating

contest
